RED DOMINION. The much-heralded garnet-red Dominion from Dr. Ayres, introduced last year by Quality Gardens. I thrilled at the sight of this iris two years ago when I saw it growing in the garden of the originator, and have always spoken highly of it since that time. While the standards are a shade lighter than the falls, it is practically a self in effect—a piece of rich red velvet. The buds are particularly striking. Each $20.00 [Cooley's Wholesale pricelist, 1932]
