From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1938: ROSY WINGS (Gage 1935) S. are domed and deep pink in center, with coppery markings at the edge; F. semi-flaring and of dark rose with border of copper. An excellent blend and has great garden value. H . M., A. I. S. 1934. A. M., A. I. S. 1936. 40 in. $12.00
From Carl Salbach catalog 1941: ROSY WINGS (Gage). Winner of DykesMedal in 1939. Blooms of good size and splendid form, the falls being somewhat flaring. Beautiful blending of colors, standards deep pink, shading to copper, falls deep rose bordered copper. Stems especially well branched. Very free bloomer. Fragrant. Mid-season. 30". $1.50.
Rosy Wings: (Gage). This light brown red well worthy of its introduction and award of honorable mention. Should be in every garden. Belsley, Ray J., Varietal Comments. Bulletin of the American Iris Society 74 (July 1939), 18.
