'Smoky Jo' (Norlan Henderson, R. 1979). Seedling# 74-4PL. TB, 32" (81 cm), Early to midseason bloom. White ground plicata with wide, stippled, blue-violet border and scattered stippling on falls; standards almost completely covered with deep blue-violet (RHS 86A) stippling; deep blue-violet beard. 'Stepping Out' X 'Tea Apron'. Henderson 1980.

From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing SMOKY JO (N. Henderson '80). White ground plicata with wide, stippled smoky blue-violet (86A) bordered and scattered stipples on falls. S. almost completely covered with blue-violet stipples. Deep blueviolet beard and stylearms. When crossed with Odyssey, it gave many bizzare, unstable plicatas. (Stepping Out X Tea Apron). $25.00.
