'Starfire' (Jesse Wills, R. 1953). Seedling# 32-48. TB, 38" (97 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards and falls golden yellow, with deeper gold edge and haft, small white blaze in center of fall. 'Star Shine' X 'Ola Kala'. Fairmount 1954. HM 1956.

From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: STARFIRE (Wills 1954) M. 38 in. (Starshine x Ola Kala). Very reminiscent of Starshine in form, finish and substance, this is a rich golden yellow with broad, full, fluted standards and ruffled flaring falls with golden border and lighter center. Choice. 8.50.
