Awaiting original From Carl Salbach catalog description 1950: TIFFANJA (DeForest). Very large, new plicata. Soft golden buff standards; creamy whitefalls, edged golden buff, with a sprinklingof light golden brown near the edges. Very harmonious and pleasing colors. Good form, and firm substance. Well branched, 40" stems. Early mid-season. $1.00; 3 for $2.SO.
"The variety Tiffanja usually shows almost perfect Four-way Branching; but, unfortunately the stalk is a bit slender for its height; so wind or rain hurt the appearance of the plant." [ plant. From Schreiner's Iris Lover's catalog for 1961:_ 1961: "A unique plicata, having good form and thick substance. Smooth and clean cut; standards colonial buff; falls creamy white definitely bordered buff, brushed at the haft and speckled around the border with light brown. This is a big flower 42" tall. Honorable Mention 1944; Award of Merit 1946.
