'Venetian Dancer' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1973). Seedling# H67-144B. TB, 28" (71 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Deep pink (near RHS 38C) self; orange-red beard. (('Gay Adventure' x 'Fair Luzon') x 'Rippling Waters') X ('Music Hall' x 'Adorable You'). Mission Bell 1974. Honorable Mention 1975.

Note: Name released 1973 - (M. Albright, R. 1966) Sdlg. 11-60. TB, 38" (97 cm), M-L Pink self; deeper pink beard. ('Queen's Lace' x 'Limelight') X ('Venetian Pink' x 'Native Dancer'). High Commendation 1966.

From AIS Bulletin #212 January 1974 Introducing VENETIAN DANCER 28", M-L. The deepest pink we have grown-near red RHS 38C. Beard orange-red (33A). In cool weather, the falls may take on a slight creamy undertone causing them to appear a bit lighter than the stands. Large blossoms with wide ruffled petals. Cupped, closed stands; horizontally flaring falls. Strong stalks. (Gay Adventure x Fair Luzon) x Rippling Waters X (Music Hall x Adorable You). No. H67- 144B. HC '73. $25.00. Mission Bell.
