From Fleur de Lis Garden catalog 1956: WATERMELON (Waters 1954) M. 38 in. (Dreamcastle x SQ72). A blending of greenish light lemon and deep watermelon pink. Standards are slightly lighter than the falls. Large and gracefully formed and ruffled. Beard and style arms are light yellow. H. M. 1954. Net 11.OO.

It appears different from some more current images because: 1. the printing process and film were different than today. 2. also weather between West Coast Climates and east Coast Climates makes huge differences in color saturation in some irises.
