(JI) "I laevigata Rose Queen'
See 'Rose Queen' The Cultivar 'Rose Queen' is not an Iris laevigata but an Iris ensata Ensata is what is normally called the Japanese Iris. Sometimes Laevigata is refered to as a Japanese Iris because it also occurs in Japan. The two Irises look very similar but differ in foliage and the flower of ensata almost always has a yellow signal while the flower of laevigata almost always has a white signal.
