'Birthstone' (Sanford Babson, R. 1977). Seedling# V134-3. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards pastel greenish ecru; falls white, edged pastel greenish ecru; blue beard. Seedling# R21-1: (('Goodness' x ('Voodoo' x 'Storm Warning')) x ('Angel Curls' x 'Pretty Carol')) X seedling# R67-11: ('Apropos' x (('Blarney Stone' x 'Commentary') x 'Stargazer')). Melrose Gardens 1978. Honorable Mention 1980.

BIRTHSTONE (Babson ’78). . .This is an exciting iris with lots of green influence, extremely smooth and clean. Standards are pastel greenish ecru; falls are white, edged color of stands. Beards are blue; branching and bud count, excellent. An excellent per- former. [F. G.
