2009, Keppel

'Brazilian Art' (Keith Keppel, R. 2008). Seedling# 01-61D TB 32" (81 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards apricot (M&P 10/11-GH-7); style arms chinese yellow (10-K-6); falls apricot blaze, 3/4"-1" wide band blending to rubient (55-L-8), edge shaded port wine (56-J-12); beards orange (2-A-12 to 10-A-12). Seedling# 98-152F: (('Braggadocio' x 'Prince George') X 'Rio'). Keppel 2009. Honorable Mention 2011; Award of Merit 2013.

From Keppel Iris catalog, 2009: BRAZILIAN ART ML 32" ((Braggadocio x Prince George) X Rio) Were there a class for"bedder" iris, this would fit well. Shorter stalks with two branches plus terminal (but with full seven bud count), prolific growth, long bloom season, loads of color. Uniform apricot standards, yellowish apricot falls with wide marginal band of muted red purple. Big, bushy red orange beards add pizzazz. #01 -610. $45.00; 3 for $115.00.
