'Showboat' (Mrs. C. Whiting, R. 1949). Seedling# 4668. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Color Class-O5, Red-gold blend. 'Prairie Sunset' X 'Veishea'.

From Maple Valley Gardens catalog, 1951: SHOWBOAT (W. 1949) No. 4130 (MATULA X PRAIRIE SUNSET). M. 36 inches. Rich red gold blend with bright blue blaze on falls. Very strong plants. $1.00.
