(AB) 'Nicosia'

1974, Peterson

'Nicosia' OGB (Les Peterson, R. 1974). Seedling LP 72-43A. AB (1/4), 28" (71 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards clean white; Falls pale soft willow green with slight touch of chartreuse (HCC 633/3); soft willow green styles shaded brownish on underside; brownish bronze beard. 'Irish Touch' X 'Esther, The Queen'.

NOTE: Not to be confused with TB 'Nicosia' by Senni, R. 1939.

From AIS Bulletin #215 October 1974 Introducing NICOSIA: AB, 28", E-M. Wide, full standards of clean white. Wide and round semi-flaring falls of soft pale willow green. The beard of brownish bronze combines to give this arilbred a distinguishing prettiness that is sure to please. Named for the town of Nicosia on Cyprus. (Irish Touch X Esther The Queen). $20.00.
