From F. X. Schreiner, An Iris Lover's Catalog, 1930: "Iduna was one of the loveliest Iris bloomed in 1928. Fine oval segments iridescent, pearly white to gold stands. Falls centered a luminous violet purple, edged with color of standards. In 1929 the combination was not quite as clear."
